Data Deletion Request
You can close your AmorlyDate account at any time and ask us to erase the personal data we hold about you.
1. Closing your account in the app
If you can still sign in, this is the fastest route:
- Sign in to your account.
- Open Settings.
- Choose Delete Account and confirm.
Your profile stops being visible to other members immediately and you are signed out. To have the underlying personal data erased as well, send us the request described below.
2. Requesting erasure of your data
Email support@amorlydate.com from the address registered to your account, with the subject line “Data deletion request”.
Please include:
- the email address of the account;
- the display name on the profile.
We may ask one follow-up question to confirm the request genuinely comes from the account holder. We will not ask you for your password.
If you signed up with Google or Facebook, email us from the same address the provider gave us, or tell us which provider you used.
3. What we delete
- your profile, photos and About Me answers;
- your messages and conversation history;
- your likes and matches;
- your account credentials and any linked Google or Facebook identity;
- push notification subscriptions and session data.
4. What we have to keep
A small amount of data survives deletion because the law requires it:
- Payment and invoice records — retained for the period required by tax and accounting law. These are held by us and by our payment processor, and cannot be removed on request.
- Records needed to handle abuse, fraud or legal claims — retained only where we have a legal obligation or a legitimate interest that overrides erasure, and only for as long as that applies.
Where records must be kept, we remove or replace the identifying fields wherever doing so still satisfies the obligation.
5. How long it takes
We acknowledge requests within 5 business days and complete them within 30 days. If a request is complex and needs longer, we will tell you before the 30 days are up and explain why.
Deletion is permanent. Once your data is erased we cannot restore your account, your conversations or any unused credits.
6. Revoking access from Google or Facebook
Deleting your AmorlyDate account removes the link we hold to your Google or Facebook identity. You can also revoke our access from your provider directly:
- Google — Account → Security → Your connections to third-party apps and services.
- Facebook — Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites.
Revoking access at the provider stops future sign-ins but does not by itself delete the data we already hold. Send the request in section 2 for that.
7. Your other rights
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, export or restrict the processing of your personal data. Write to support@amorlydate.com and we will handle it under the same timeline. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
